It provides good suction as other have noted but the design of this is so ridiculous it is amazing so many people think it is great. As others have mentioned, the rubber flap intended to seal the contents inside after being sucked up interferes with the filter bag unless you intentionally scrunch up the bag. And even more mindless, because the vacuum is stored on the charging base with the handle down, the flap will of course fall open because there happens to be this odd force called gravity on the planet. So the only time the flap is closed is when you carry it from one job to another... Typical B&D 1970s design. This company really needs to find some Industrial Designers.
