HOWEVER, they are for indoor use only!!! I purchased 3 of these locks 3 months ago. The two outside locks are exposed to rain and soon snow. HOWEVER THEY ARE BOTH SEVERELY PITTED DUE TO CORROSION. See attached picture. UPDATE I coated the replacement locks with 3 coats of clear spray lacquer and after they were dry with silicone. They are holding up pretty good so far (October 18, 2015). I have put a picture up of one of the locks that were lacquered 3x. To the manufacturer: Would it be possible for you to introduce a corrosion protected option or version of this lock? It is a great lock. PS I can highly recommend this lock for internal use or when mounted outside under cover.
