Scary defective plastic!
I've had my machine for about 6 years and bought this second container 22 months ago. It has had maybe 20 uses and today I started blending 2 jalapeño peppers with some garlic and cumin and a 2-inch hole blew out of the side.
Fortunately the part that hit me was apparently not one of the two sharp edges!
