Here is why: If you are buying this as a slick interface to your smart homes things -- it will be a failure. The ADT panel will only allow ADT devices to be used as conditions for your alarm to be triggered. We were highly disappointed to realize this after purchasing. We already had wired door sensors, motion sensors, and "all kinds of sensors" integrated as a complete and functioning Smart Home. It was after we received and installed that we would be unable to use sensors besides ADT to trigger events on the ADT hardware. We will be returning this. Great product if it actually worked with all the smart sensors above the level of automation tasks.
