The author is good with proper sentence structure and grammar. I only saw one error, although I did begin to scan over certain scenes. Unfortunately, at this writing there is no warning about explicit sexual content and profanity, of which there is quite a bit and some of the scenes were sickening--the "yuck" factor. I must say that I found Marta to be extremely unlikable. The author, to her credit, lent a sympathetic tone even to the adversaries, although one character was particularly gross to me. The point of view does jump from character to character, which is OK and probably the best way of telling this story. Still, I found it difficult to get into it. I managed to finish the book, although I jumped over the explicit passages. The ending surprised me in its abruptness; it was as though the writer just stopped. It makes me think there may be a sequel coming up. I know this review is low, and I'm hesitant to put it up; however, I would not want to spend money on a book and then discover I had bought porn. I obtained this book as a Kindle First selection, so was able to preview it for free.
