A 240GB SSD for the price of a 120GB was a no-brainer! For a budget drive, I am very impressed with the performance! Here's my CrystalDiskMark benchmark: Sequential Read : 519.783 MB/s Sequential Write : 306.915 MB/s Random Read 512KB : 384.495 MB/s Random Write 512KB : 307.180 MB/s Random Read 4KB (QD=1) : 27.184 MB/s [ 6636.8 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=1) : 71.861 MB/s [ 17544.1 IOPS] Random Read 4KB (QD=32) : 254.923 MB/s [ 62237.0 IOPS] Random Write 4KB (QD=32) : 278.634 MB/s [ 68025.8 IOPS] There are a couple caveats with this drive: 1. This comes with NO software, no instructions, no cables, no screws, no drive bay adapter brackets - just the drive in a box and a stick-on adapter to make the drive 9mm thick. Nothing to monitor health status, nothing to help clone the drive, Nada! Not a big deal if you know what you're doing, but those needing some hand-holding might want to look elsewhere. 2. The 3 year warranty is actually 1 year plus 2 more if you register and the PNY web site. For the $89.95 net that I paid for this, this was a no-brainer purchase. However, for the same money, I think the Crucial MX100 is the better buy. **06-12-2014 Update: My PNY Optima SSD runs hotter than my other SSDs. It's 45c vs 25c. For that reason, I would not recommend putting this into a laptop or netbook. **06-30-2014 Update: PNY stiffed me on the rebate. Even though I think my PNY Optima is a good SSD drive, I can't recommend a company with such poor business practices. For that reason, I'm removing my recommendation for this product and changed my rating to 1-star. I called Amazon and they're letting me return the drive for a full refund even though I cut out the UPC to use for the rebate. THIS is why I buy from AMAZON!
