This filter worked nothing like the original brand! The last time I went to Lowe's, my filter was out of stock, so I looked online and ordered it from Amazon. This time I couldn't find the filter I needed online, so I ordered the Mist filter based on all the glowing reviews... big mistake. After I installed the filter and started to flush the line, this black stuff shot out of the water dispenser. That has never happened before. I flushed the recommended amount of water plus some to end up with nasty tasting water. I was a cross between a chemical-y plastic taste. I flushed the line a 2nd time, same nasty taste. For some reason, I thought if I came back in a couple of days, I would magically have great tasting water again, but I didn't. I ended up returning the filters for a refund and going to Lowe's. Luckily, they had them in stock, plus a $40 coupon off 2 or more filters. I don't write a lot of reviews, but I had to warn someone, anyone, about the risk of buying this filter.
