Since all of the reviews for this mattress topper seem to be lumped together regardless of thickness, I will start by saying this review is in regards to the 3 Inch topper specifically. I bought this topper in order to soften a mattress from the same manufacturer that I found to be a bit too firm. From reading the questions a reviews on the product page I was expecting a very "squishy" mattress topper. I bought the 3" thick model to account for the softness I was reading about in the reviews. Essentially, I expected to get 3" of softness I added to my mattress. That's not what I got. If you look at the picture that goes with the 3" topper, you'll see that it's too colors, green and yellow. These are two different foams that are simply glued together. The green foam makes up about 1" of the thickness and is very squishy and what is what I expected the entire pad to feel like. The yellow foam is the remainder and is very dense and does not seem to give at all when I lie on it. I'm 200 lbs, so I don't think my weight or lack thereof is the issue. On top of that, the two foams are already starting to come apart and I've had it less than two days. If I can't return it (I've already contacted the seller) I may just pull the entire thing apart and keep the green foam. That's another thing: the topper is shipped rolled up and compressed. Once it's unboxed and unwrapped, it's virtually impossible to get it back in the box. So td;dr version: The three inch version is not squishy. If your looking for squishy get the two inch or 1.5 inch one.
