False Advertising
What arrived in the mail was kerchief thin 100% polyester, no stripe but rather a box pattern.
I paid $200.00 to have 15 sets of these sheets shipped plus the duty. To say I'm angry at feeling "taken" would be an understatement.
The shipper now wants to send me a one "sheet set" sample of the real deal but also asked if we could reach some deal where I would accept these polyester sheets in place of the 300TC cotton Dobby striped ones as advertised.
I weighed the flat sheet from my existing cotton sheets and the weight was 980g.
I weighed the flat sheet which the seller sent me and it weighed 420g.
I directed the seller not to bother sending me anything if it had any percentage of polyester in it because I won't accept it.. What are the chances I will receive a polyester cotton blend?
I feel like I was tricked. This order I received was no mistake. You can't mistake Dobby stripes for a square pattern and you can't mistake heavy cotton for thin polyester. I don't believe these sheets were sent in error, I believe the seller just hopes that it will be too much trouble and too much cost to return and they can get sales by pushing false advertising.
As far as I'm concerned, this was a bloody waste of time and unnecessary aggravation. We'll see what sample sheet this seller sends me. If the top sheet doesn't weigh 900+grams, because it's a 60/40 cotton polyester mix, it's gong back.
I personally think Amazon needs to stand behind their advertising and not subject their buyers to fraud. We'll see how this plays out. This purchase has already taken more time than I anticipated. I hope this seller makes good but I'm not holding my breath. At this point I just want my money refunded.
