I bought this one year ago, but it was late in the year by the time I got it, so I did not hang it but waited until spring 2017. It did get many bugs, mostly moths, maybe some mosquitoes (too tiny to see amongst the dead moths), and two yellow jackets. Yellow jackets were what gives us the most problems, mosquitoes are second. I moved it around to find the right spot and once there, the mosquitoes seemed to drop off considerably. after one month, the fan motor began making loud noises and the fan would barely turn - great! The warranty was up by that time, so I attempted a fix myself (engineering professional). That lasted a couple more months, then it went bad again. The motor in this version is not designed to last (poor overseas design; large fan blade, single bearing at motor end of shaft) and will suffer bearing wear quickly. Since I spent the money, I will rebuild it again and attempt to use it.
