I have very thick, yet fine hair. It's wavy and down to my chest. I am on the eternal quest to find decent hairties. I really hoped these were going to be it. I've been using them day in and day out ever since I got them, in order to give them a fair shake...and they just are not for me. The clasp thing actually pulls out my hair when I go to open it up. I also don't see any difference in how well they hold my hair up vs. a telephone coil hairtie. I put my hair in a ponytail, then a second one for a bun, then go do my workout- that is the only way they stay in place. Just a ponytail? It's sinking down the back of my head in about 10 minutes. The return policy is hopeless...I'm just going to give the other 6 away to people who have been on the fence about them and see if they work better for them...
