I purchased this lock to replace another fingerprint-scanning lock and, so far, this Kwikset unit is far superior: It is both easier to install and far more accurate. The old lock would read my print only once out of every 15 tries and this one has yet to misread or not respond. The app is also 100% accurate and I like the fact that I can lock or unlock the door by voice with Android Assistant and Google Home. The minute the price drops a bit I plan to install another one! UPDATE: It's now been three weeks since the fingerprint scanner stopped working that the lock lost the ability to connect to wifi. After several calls to tech support - and running the same diagnostics each time - my case was "escalated" and I've heard nothing since. Repeated calls have been met with "we'll get back to you when we have something to tell you". I cannot open the lock with a fingerprint scan, I cannot open the lock with the app, I cannot open the lock by voice assistant - I must use a physical key. The only benefit to this malfunctioning lock is that I can still lock it without using the key. I will continue to reach out to tech support but, as the return deadline approaches, they're severely trying my patience...
