I first ordered these a year ago and I loved them. I got them for a trip and they were the right size and weight to use as a blanket on the plane, they fit easily in an overnight bag, and they dried quickly enough that they weren't wet when I went to pack them in the morning. I liked them so much that I just ordered four more with the intent of replacing all my other towels. As soon as I opened the bag, I could see that they were different from the towels I got last year. They weren't as tightly knit, they were shiny and they didn't seem like they would be as absorbent. I decided to give them a try anyway, but when I washed them before using them, they shrank significantly. Not only did I wash them the exact same way I've been washing my towels from last year, but I even had one of those old towels in the same load with the new towels, and it didn't shrink. The photo shows the size difference between the mint green towel from last year, which still looks new after a year, and the yellow towel I just purchased after it shrank.
