I purchased this scooter for my son. We loved it at first but in only 2 weeks the front tires were worn out. I purchased 3 more sets of tires, cost of $100 per set. All wore out within 2 weeks. I called E-Wheels to ask about different tires. They told me the tires were not made for "pavement" even thought the scooter is advertised as an outside scooter. I spent the next 8 to 10 months trying to come up with a solution. Since the wheel bearings are in the wheel, you can't use hard rubber tires which require split rims. I even called a machine shop to see if they could put the bearings in the split rims. I have tried on several occasions to contact E-Wheels, but it only goes to voice mail and they do not call back. We are now stuck with this inoperable scooter and not extra money to purchase a replacement.
