Titan N120
I am responsible for several friends (maybe former friends) purchasing Titan N120 tankless units . I own three ( one spare)myself. I am a master electrician{45 yrs) and have been inside several Titan units that were failing for one reason or another.I'm not pleased with the Titan unit for several reasons I will list.
1. Loose wiring connections throughout the units as shipped from Titan. Poor workmanship, especially with the connections is routine and quality control obviously doesn't exist.
2. The water temperature changes constantly in several of the units ( turns cold instantly) and requires turning the water of and back on to get hot again.
3. One had a leak where the 5500 watt element screws in and leaked water on the reset switchcausing multiple problems.
4. The reset switch, that Titan calls a thermostat reset for some reason, is hidden inside and older units have no access th the reset switch without removing the cover that voids the warrenty that they conveniently hid the reset switch undet the cover with a very tiny hole for access that is not marked.
5.. When I phone my contact with Titan I get the run around and silly excuses why I have a problem.
Enough about Titan N120's. If I weren't capable of performing all repairs to these units that I and friends own, I would be in Titans face fast. If you have one you might be wiseto turn the power off, remove the cover and carefully tighten all connections inside the unit lest you have some of my experiences later, if you're not already having them.
