If you Hearos does not stick to your product, then why should we?
A little history first.
I’ve been wearing earplugs for over 15 years now. This product was THE BEST (no kidding) I’ve tried out of some 30 brands of earplugs. They’re very soft to touch yet sturdy enough to fill your entire ear canal after expansion, with excellent noise absorbing ability. That is, if its quality stay consistent.
Back in a few years ago Hearos decided to change the material of Xtreme Protection, which made the product completely worthless. Soft, feeble, little noise block. Lots of people were disappointed, so was I as I was stucked ordering 15 boxes of 100 pairs of the “New improved design”. Felt really guilty (pollution wise, not $) to just throw them all away unused, but you get the idea how atrocious they were.
Needless to say, senses came to them (perhaps its feedback, perhaps its sales figure) and they revert the product back to old style & material on 2016. Moon was full once again.
Recently, I ordered my latest box on November, 2018 and got a chance to use them last night. As soon as I grab them on hand, things were DIFFERENT. These earplugs looks identical, but are extremely flimsy as soon as you apply pressure. In contrast with the normal one, these earplugs felt they’re almost hollow inside. As expected, they’re too soft to expand properly and apply enough pressure to seal your ear canal. Noise passes freely through them and I gave up at 6am in the morning, waking up in search of my backup earplugs (another brand).
As for reference, all of the earplugs are sold by Hearos themselves and they came with identical boxes. Only thing different was the latest box came with a ziplock bag and a sample pair of “Dazzlears” ear plug.
Now, I hardly write any reviews on Amazon, but I’m so dissatisfied that I had to. Just how hard it is to stick to your product formula and quality control on your product? Did you Hearos, even tested or examined them before popping them out from factory? I’m just an ordinary consumer, but even I can tell the difference immediately when squeezing them, by nothing but hand.
For now, I’m beaten enough to avoid these. Perhaps in the future I’ll give them another shot, but if that disappoint as well, it’s a goodbye Hearos for me. Please don’t make that happen.
