After 1 month this frame makes a squeaking sound (more like a creaking sound) when getting in and out of bed. The squeaks aren't loud, although any type of exercise on the bed will also cause squeaks, non-stops squeaks, but so far there are no squeaks during sleep or moderate movements. I don't understand why there's squeaking since this bed has never been under more than 210 lbs. of weight at any time--this is not even half of this bed frame's maximum capacity. Also the bed has never been jumped on or abused and I assembled it correctly (correctly aligning the matching parts and tightening the screw-in bolts completely--assembly is simple as can be). I decided to keep the bed and try to repair the squeaks. I'll try that soon, first by resetting the bolts using Loctite Thread Locker on them. I also might use candle wax to coat the approximate 2 inch surface area in each of the 4 corners where the frame bolts together and at which point there is about a 2 inch metal overlap of the interlocking frame pieces. Rubber washers might help too in preventing each bolt's head from squeaking. I'm also prepared, if need be, to replace the bolts with self-tapping screw-in bolts for an even tighter fit. The last resort, of course, would be to do away with the bolts altogether and have the frame welded into one piece. Eventually I believe I'll get a perfectly quiet bed, which is what my old wood-framed box spring bed provided when it was elevated by recessed (hidden) concrete blocks instead of using a conventional bed frame (I also always attach my bed head board to the wall to prevent it from squeaking, which headboards are notorious for). I've just found out with this steel bed frame that I really like a platform bed without a box spring. It gives much firmer support. So I'm going to try to make it work, but obviously I can't recommend this frame because I hate squeaks, even moderate squeaks like this frame has.
