well I will compare Wahl 5 star magic to elite pro. Magic clip meant for professional use, well here is my take on. I am not a professional barber however I do my own fade for years and my friends. I wanted to buy professional clipper from Wahl to just to take it to next level. Boy I was wrong. Magic clip came with the cheapest guards you can find. The motor should be the most powerful yet my elite pro home clipper feels way stronger than magic clip. Elite pro also came with the best professional metal bottom guards. Magic clip had difficult time cutting my beard and the fade came out way too uneven. To make it fair I wanted to give it a more try so I cut two of my friends hair with magic clip and same result happen. I personally believe elite pro is way superior and it is home use not professional. Moreover magic clip heated up to point I had to give it a break to cool it down. This clipper was the biggest let down.
