**Please see my images of the rusted rack in the 'customer' images section** I've had this since DEC 2012 and recently noticed what looked liked a rust drip down my rear windshield. I own a 2007 Grand Cherokee Overland. When I got up on my ladder I saw the roof coated with streaks of dried rust water. Not only do the metal brackets rust, but the associated fasteners all along the tubing also rusts. When I removed the rack a large amount of rust water came pouring through tubing. This was after 3-4 days of 70-80 degree heat no rain. I've contacted the manuf and will update but be aware, after about a year and half mine started rusting. They should use non-rust alloy (like steel/aluminum) in the unit as well as any metal fasteners. It's shame because I really like it. Update: On May 20th I reported this issue to Curt. Their response: "This is the first CURT heard of this could you send some photos so we can take care of the problem. " I have sent 20 photographs detailing the areas that became rusted and my jeep streaked with rust from the rack. Today is 6/12 and have not received a status update yet. Update 8/1/14: I have sent all the photos Curt requested and have asked for status roughly every 2 weeks. At this point I'm giving up. No replies to at least 4 status inquires. Terrible customer service. If I had known this was going rust and drip all over my jeep, would have never bought it. Please see my images of the rusted rack in the 'customer' images section.
