This set-up is taking a very simple concept (distillation) and over-complicating it. Every part of this thing needs to be in just the right place to function and it doesn't even work unless in certain conditions. I am a chemist and a home distilling enthusiast so I understand the concepts here, but using this device in any condition other than a very cold environment will not work. There is steam coming from many places where it should not be, and much of the steam vents out of the top. There is nothing to cool the steam (condense) into liquid water besides some water which just heats up and is useless, and the steam eventually comes out the water tube as... well, steam. This will probably work fantastically outdoors when the temperatures are <50 degrees, but a simple retort or, even better, a distillation apparatus with a column and a condenser would be much more efficient and functional. Aside from all that, the metal feels very cheap and questionable. Sinoly cleaning with a sponge i can smell the metal. Don't waste your money on this product. Invest in a good filtration system or a distillation system with a condenser.
