I installed the split ac in 2 days by myself. I have pretty good diy skills and this unit was pretty straight forward to install. If you aren’t skilled, get some help. The precharged lines were a game changer, and connecting them was very easy. This unit will be replacing an old 24000 btu window unit that was very noisy. The split is very quiet! Sometimes I walk up into the exhaust to check that it’s actually running it’s so quiet. I did have one issue that taints my experience and concerns me if I need repair parts in the future. The unit was shipped without a condensate drain line. I called MrCool, and had to leave a number. They didn’t return my call. I kept calling and 5 days later I finally got through. Despite that this was a MrCool product, they wouldn’t send me a drain line, even when I pointed out that they didn’t include it. Their response was that it wasn’t their fault, it was the Chinese at fault! They had me go to the distributer, Ingrams Air to try to get the hose. I called Ingrams, was told that they try to get it out same day. Fours day later they still hadn’t shipped it. After I talked again on Friday i was again told they would try again to ship it out same day, but once again It didn’t ship so I found one on Amazon and had it on Sunday. Thank you Amazon. 11 days and between the manufacturer, MrCool, and the distributor, they couldn’t even get a part that both companies had in stock, and get it shipped. My concern now is what support will I get if or more likely when I will need repair parts. The product is great, 5 stars, the customer service and follow through 1 star. I can not recommend this based on customer service.
