Through the years, I have owned every version of the August Smart Lock. The build quality of the new August Wi-Fi Smart Lock, 4th Generation is superb and the device is easy to install on the door; however, the August App is clumsy and does not always connect with the lock. After many attempts, the integration with the HomeKit and Alexa could not be performed. I have reinstalled the functioning August Smart Lock Pro and am returning the August Wi-Fi Smart Lock to Amazon. Take my advice: save your precious time and avoid the purchase of this version until August fixes the many problems.
