Junk - avoid
I've had good success with LG products in the past, including my main bluray player and the extra tv that I wanted to connect to. The BP340 looked like a good choice for a low cost bluray player with Netflix. It wasn't. The problems were: 1. Out of the box, plugged in, wouldn't turn on with either the power switch or remote. Pulled plug and tried again and it worked. 2. Insert disc, get blank white screen on TV. No buttons do anything. 3. Call 800 service number. Rings for 2 minutes no answer. Goes to a message saying call is important, please buy a LG washer/dryer. Repeat forever. This is 7 PM. Nothing stated about support hours. 4. Unplug, try again. Disc plays properly. 5. Attempt to set up Netflix. Connects to wi-fi router and internet fine. Netflix gives an error. Says contact Netflix for support. Look up online - code is an authentication error. 6. Unplug, try again. Same problem. 7. Find "initilize" option in main menu. Reinitialize. Try again. Netflix asks for password, works fine now. 8. Try Pandora. Pandora always plays the music from the station above the one I've selected. Very strange. 9. Try Netflix again. Plays for a few minutes, then has to buffer for a full minute, plays 2 minutes, buffers 1 minute. 10. Eat dinner. Move wi-fi router closer. Try again. Netflix error message - "problem with this title." 11. Try Roku box next to the bluray. No problem with this title. 12. Pack up and ship back. 13. Buy Sony BDPS3200. Costs $10 more, works 10x better.
