Not what they used to be
I will never wear these. I own several pairs of Smartwool socks, including this model in brown from a few years back. This doesn't even feel like the same product and it makes me wonder if there is actually any wool in it. It feels like cheap nylon. It doesn't even look like the same sock - see the attached photo with my 3 year old brown socks next to the newly purchased black ones. Based on this and another pair of a different style, either these are cheap knockoffs or Smartwool has let their quality slip dramatically. Time to find a new brand.
