I spent my time and money buying 4 different brands and this is what I learned... From WORST to THE BEST!! Vont and Etekcity lights ARE GARBAGE. * They have the lowest brightness * They only turn on or off * They have no true dim feature - everyone's eye adjust, after they adjust most people can dim their emergency lights to help them last longer. * They have a FAKE DIMMING feature, the LEDs are just recessed into the housing to dim the lights but they are still using FULL POWER Eveready & Duracell tie for the best!! In my home, we have both. They each have their strengths and weaknesses. Eveready * These are much brighter than the Vont and Etekcity * These are not brighter than the Duracell * These have multiple hanging points - making them more useful * These also have magnetic mounting points! * These also have a built in spot light / flash light * It also has a red emergency blinker - nice, but really, when are you ever gonna really use this? * The flood light itself only turns on or off * They have no true dim feature - everyone's eye adjust, after they adjust most people can dim their emergency lights to help them last longer. * They have a FAKE DIMMING feature, the LEDs are just recessed into the housing to dim the lights but they are still using FULL POWER Duracell * These are THE BRIGHTEST OUT OF ALL OF THEM!!! * They have TRUE DIMMING feature!! * Everyone's eye adjust, after they adjust most people can dim their emergency lights to help them last longer. What these all have in common - they all use standard AA batteries which are much longer lasting than the AAA type of LED lights. AA batteries have 3x the capacity of AAA batteries - so I never buy any LED light that uses AAA batteries. I bought 2 each of the Eveready and the Duracell models for my home.
