The fan works well for what it does and the remote is nice. All the functions work well too but the motor makes a slight humming noise no matter what speed you set it at so setting it to high to have the fan drown out the motor is the only reason I'm not mad about buying this because I wanted something quiet. If you put it on low it's going to be loud anyway and it's not a pleasant hum, kind of slightly annoying. No more than 3 stars, wouldn't recommend but I'm just going to use it. (EDIT) The fan is now broken and it's just over 2 months so I can't return it. Loud and annoying and not even a good fan. Reading the reviews and answers to questions you'll realize these are cheap products made from faulty parts that are prone to breaking. There are way too many people complaining about them breaking...the last window fan I bought for $50 lasted 3 years. This one just barely 2 months. STAY AWAY ITS NOT WORTH IT. IM MAD.
