I’m a third generation carpenters daughter. I also work in the tech field. I know tools. I know instillation. I know electronics. I’ve assembled and installed literally everything from furniture to appliances in our entire house. Installing this product made me cry 3 times, have an anxiety attack, and have to take medications to calm down. I’ll admit I was having a bad day already when I tried to put this thing together. But the instructions are ABSOLUTELY ABYSMAL! I had to watch 3 Yoitube videos just before I could figure out how you’re supposed to attach the stupid slanting brackets. The device told me it was “entering setup mode” after I put in the battery, and then sat there blinking for 35 minutes. Finally I got mad, tried to figure out what what happening, and discovered that I was supposed to be setting it up on the app while it was doing this. There was zero mention in the instructions of this. I thought “setup mode” meant it was looking for WiFi, or triangulating it’s location or something like that. How am I supposed to known that when it says it’s entering setup mode I’M supposed to do the setup. There are zero instructions on what the different screws and things are for. I can’t even finish explaining all the nightmares involved in setting this nightmare up. Setup sucks, the product sucks, the quality sucks. I hated it out of sheer spite for what it put me through for several hours during setup, but now I absolutely loathe it for how crummy and confusing it is. If it ever breaks I’m not returning it, I’m just going to throw it in a bonfire and dance around it. Horrendous product
