Read other reviews. This product is unreliable garbage. The low water reset light on our unit trips and shuts off the unit about 3 minutes after turning it on even though the water reserve tank is full. I’ve followed the limited manufacturer’s instructions - same result. I removed the limiting spring-loaded stopper entirely - same result. For some reason, the design does not allow enough water to flow onto the evaporation hot plate. Vicks should be more cautious about the products to which it licenses its brand.
