Most frustrating handheld
I'll start with the good news: this vacuum does pick up dog hair from sofas because of the brush feature. It works pretty well in that regard.
But there are so many other poor features. (1) the hose suction is very, very weak (even from day 1 and there is no question that the hose is unclogged. (2) the cord won't stay wrapped around the base; I think the "groove" into which you would wrap the cord when putting it away is too shallow. (2b) It would be nice to have a retractable cord on this hand-held vac, because I find the cord gets in the way when cleaning. You want to do a little spot cleaning and the long cord, which would be useful if you were doing all your stairs, I assume, comes unravelled. (3) the worst feature: the exhaust blows everything around. It's not that the seal on the canister is weak; no, it keeps whatever you suck up in the canister. It's the fan air blowing out the back of the vac that acts as a miniature leaf blower. Try vacuuming a pile of spilled dry rice, or dog hair on hard wood, or dust, and you get about 1/4 of it while the rest gets blown around by the air coming out of the back.
I think this would be an acceptable vacuum if everthing in my house were carpeted or upholstered, because the brush feature is its strongest point.
