While installation & functionality were simple and straightforward, the faults are with construction and quality. The main issue is with the in-line power switch. It rattles when shaken and shorts out, switching the light off or on at random. As the switch is glued closed, it is not repairable. The surge protector for the outlet tripped while the light was OFF, with the smell of overheated plastic. I can only imagine what would have happened if I were not home when this occurred or if this light was plugged directly into the wall outlet. Dangerous. I do not recommend this product. Update 11/03/21: I have recently received 4 identical emails on behalf of the seller from, "Barbara Fox" , "Victoria Medina" & "Sandra Burton" requesting I delete this critical review in exchange for a refund. This is in full disregard of this item being a shock and fire hazard. Only an unscrupulous seller would continue selling this LED light when there are DOZENS of complaints on Amazon about the poor quality of this item, especially the faulty switches. I have submitted the e-mails from the seller to Amazon in a formal complaint. Avoid this LED blacklight AND this seller.
