This is less of a game and more of an activity. That being said, its a fairly enjoyable way to kill off some time on a lazy afternoon. Making the pottery allows you to tap into your creative side, and, tho the actual modifications you can make to the pottery are limited to shape there is still a lot of variance for you to play with. Mistakes are easily fixed and there is no stress at all in trying to accomplish the goals that are set for you. Graphically this application is below average. The finished pottery renders nicely, however, the rest of the game looks very dated. The bokeh effect on the home screen is nice, but, becomes an eyesore after awhile. The graphics accomplish all that they need too, but, they do so without any real sense of style. For an app that is centered on art and creativity I find the graphics to be a little too generic. The sounds and music are very simple surburan wallah. The wallah comes off well tho. The chirping birds and breezy outdoor sounds compliment the relaxing style of the game well, yet, do not overshadow or distract from the players focus. Controlling the pottery creation is simple and intuitive. The accelerometer allows you to easily change the viewing angle of the window on the pottery wheel, and although it feels a little unintuitive at first due to working on a reverse axis, it soon becomes second nature. Styling or painting the pottery can be rather imprecise , especially on a phone due to the fact that the touch zones are a little larger than an actual finger........ however they work very well if you use a stylus. I can't really rate this as a "game" because it wouldn't be fair considering that it doesn't really meet the standard criteria for the average game. The activities in the app are engaging enough to hold my attention for a little while, and, I found myself coming back to it every now and again to fiddle with new colors and patterns. I purchased this app on the G-Play store several weeks ago for $4.99. I do not feel it is worth the price. I would rate the interaction with this app as above average, which is 4 stars. -2 Stars for integrated IAP -2 Stars for integrating IAP items that cannot be unlocked through gameplay. I rate this app with 0 stars. SIDENOTE: Like ArtsyTallGirl, I had purchased this app when it was offered as a full version for 5$. I had not unlocked EVERYTHING that the game offers, I was still working on it, though I had vested several hours in it and had unlocked all of the colors and many of the ornaments and patterns. I was a few plays away from unlocking a new material. A recent update changed the game from a full version premium game (which I had paid $5 for) into a Paymium game, which caused ALL of my unlocked items to be reset, and made same of the items I had earned thru gameplay into items that could no longer be earned through gameplay and one of the items has been omitted from the new version. NOTHING new had been added, other than the fact that some items which had once been unlockable through gameplay are now unlockable only with cash. I considered this to be theft. I paid for something and after money was exchanged it was converted into a paymium scam. I contacted Infinite Dreams, and was promptly (and not especially courteously) told that I was not getting a refund. At that point I reported the app as malicious to the G-play store and asked Google for a refund, which they did issue. Google issuing the refund did not remove the game from my apps list on the G-pay store, however, I uninstalled it anyways............ who the heck wants to support a company like Infinite Dreams....... The practice detailed above is becoming very commonplace. Developers will make and market an app as Premium and include all content in the upfront purchase price. Then, after the sales of the app reach a peak the app is converted to Paymium or Freemium and everyone who initially purchased the app is just SOL. This is something that is CLEARLY done intentionally. Look and think about this process....... An app is released at a fair price. People purchase the app with thier hard earned money, and then review the FULL VERSION of the app. The dev makes money on each purchase, and enjoys a nice base of good reviews......... Then, once the game is installed on thousands of devices, by people who paid actual cash for it........ The dev changes the structure into pay-to-win, or pay-to-paly, or, as is the case with this app, pay-to-unlock. Many of you who review software on Amazon seem to be wildly fervent in your support of IAP scams............. Think about what it is you are supporting. As far as I am concerned...... Infinite Dreams is a thieving, reprehensible, scumbag villain. No matter WHAT they produce from this point on I will NEVER even consider purchasing an application with their name on it. MANY MANY oldeskoole gamers feel the same way as I do. MANY, we are the VAST majority. It is true that the newgen gamers will continue to support criminal enterprises like Infinite Dreams, they will even defend thier actions.........for awhile..... But companies like Infinite Dreams need to get it through thier thick, greedy, evil heads that ripping off thier customer base ONLY gives them a smaller customer base. It is true that they will make more money per copy on this app with thier IAP scam than they would with an honest business model............ but it is also true that they will sell and circulate FAR less copies. They KNOW this, which is why they initially released it as a full game, so that they could get a market share of the olde skoolers before they converted to an IAP scam model to take advantage of the new-gens (who aren't bad people, they just really don't know any better). Thier scam worked, they sold a lot of copies of this pile of IAP infested mal-ware, trash........ Make sure they do not get away with this a second time. Remember the name. Don't support this type of criminal, cyberbullying villain. I said it before and I will say it again........... If you want the future of gaming to suck.......... support IAP.......... If you still believe that consumers have rights and corporations should not be allowed to mistreat and abuse thier customers...... don't support IAP. Its STILL really that simple.
