Dear Amazon Echo Engineering Team: My family has been using the Echo show device for many years as a simple yet effective method for our elderly parents to stay in close touch with their children and grandchildren. We have twice daily Echo calls and its a literal life-saver. The current Covid-19 situation has changed our daily routine and the family now uses Zoom to have large family chats every day. However, my parents with only an Echo Show and a Jitterbug (non-smartphone) device are totally left out and we sure would like to somehow have their Echo Show device as part of the family chat. Yes, there are elderly people out there who do not have access to a mobile device (Apple, PC or Smartphone) and it would make a huge difference if you could configure the Alexa skill to not require business or AWS linkages, etc. And sooner rather than later would also be useful.... ;) Thanks much, Peter.
