Not worth your time and money
I was very excited when I upgraded to a more recent Ipad. But, as you are well aware, it's a big investment. Tablet, case, screen protector, and then the pencil...oh the pencil. I was excited to see a less expensive pencil available. This pencil that you're viewing right now. But when I got it, I had to first of all charge it. There wasn't even a charge to be able to play with it a bit before putting it on charger. And I knew ahead of time I would have to plug it in to charge. But I didn't realize what an octopus of cords I would end up having to charge this and my ipad. Then I'd try to use the pencil. And I TRIED!! Oh my Gosh how I tried. Most of the time the pencil stroke wasn't recognized. I would have to re-write. Mainly when dotting your i's and crossing your t's...and adding punctuation, or if there were letters that had more than one stroke in them. Then I'd remind myself how much I paid. So, I'd give it a try again. Nope. I'd say it would write about 70% of the time. That may sound like a lot but when you're working on your journal entry, digital planner, or art piece, this gets very frustrating. And the pencil tip against the screen was kind of like....oh I know...you know those really short pencils that hurt your hand just to hold it and write so horribly bad? They have that weird lead in them that make you feel like just kind of scraping along like a Neanderthal dragging knuckles along gravel? Yeah...that's kind of how smooth it is writing with one of these pens. Then after just a few days it wouldn't hold a charge for more than 10 minutes. So, in summary, if you want a so so pencil that doesn't always work, doesn't like to keep a charge, scares you that you'll scratch your screen or ruin a screen protector, and have to re-buy a new pencil very often then this is the pencil for you. If not, save up your nickles, dimes and quarters, mow the neighbor's yard (make sure they know to pay you for doing it...don't just randomly mow their yard and show up at their door with your hand out...that creates awkwardness you just don't need) until you can afford to splurge and buy a real ipencil. I returned this pencil.
