*Contains spoilers* Great cast, beautifully filmed and the grimmest, most sexually perverse movie I've ever seen. Imagine Michael Myers from Halloween, he that apparently never dies and keeps turning up to torment his victim in the role as an authoritarian preacher whose obsession with his daughter turns so violent that there's only one character out of a large cast that isn't dead at the end of the movie. There's a scene where he's whipping the skin off a five year old girl's back, asking if she's ever had impure thoughts about men. This is before he intends to rape her in front of her mother (his daughter.) There's more and even worse, an unending stream of misery and insanity. If you're into bleak, nihilistic and violent movies, this might be for you. Otherwise, steer clear.
