So many issues...
I loved the idea of this product. I have a 100lb lab and in the winter, I could probably make another 100lb lab out of his fur that he sheds. So I was super excited when I saw this was rated well for homes with pets. I have used this for about a week, cleaning every day (sometimes twice a day) and here are my complaints: -Bin needs to be emptied about every 20 minutes in our home with one 100lb dog. This is even after using the Roomba atleast a day for a week straight. Since the battery life seems to be about 1.5 hours, this means that I have to empty it about 4 times/job. What's the point of having a Roomba if I'm constantly cleaning out the bin? I wanted to be able to just set this and forget it. I understand needing to clean out the bin inbetween jobs but needing cleaned every 20 minutes is just me babysitting it. -The app doesn't accurately display the bin's fullness. It seems to just make an assumption based on total job time. The app has yet to show the bin as being full even though I've probably emptied it at least 20 times so far (and cleaned the filter twice). -Out of the last 7 jobs, 5 of them the Roomba has died trying to find it's way back to the dock. I have physically picked it up and placed it within 3' of the dock and it turns around and goes in the other direction (even though the app tells me it's trying to dock and the low battery is showing on the top). I have our dock in an open wall (there's about 3' of open wall space on either side and about 5' of open floor in front of it). -I thought these were supposed to learn areas where they get stuck and avoid them, however, it constantly gets stuck in one corner of my room and ends up error'ing and I have to come and fix it. One time it literally error'd in the corner, I placed it about 10' away, and it went straight back into that corner and error'd again. I have about 1500 sq ft of space on our first floor (which has furniture, etc over it) so there's plenty of other areas for it to cover. -Which leads me to my next complaint, I have one end table that it has yet to ever clean under. It's not blocked. It's next to an entryway into our kitchen (which doesn't have a door on it). No clue why it's never found it. Something else to consider (not really a complaint) is that you can only use this on one floor in your house. Since it can't climb stairs and it's supposed to map out the floor in it's memory, I've read online that moving floors can mess up it's mapping. So if you have two story house that you'd like for it to clean both floors on, you'll need two. Maybe the more expensive model works out a lot of the kinks I've listed above? For now, I'll stick to my traditional vacuum.
