Typos, Misleading Photos, and Full of IP no-nos
I had high hopes for this book and was extremely disappointed. 1. There are a number of typos in the headers and, even worse, some of the nutritional calculations are wrong. 2. There are all these photos of nicely browned meat... that are totally misleading. If you’re throwing raw meat in an IP without browning and then not doing anything to finish it off in the oven... it’s going to be beige. The chicken cordon bleu she cooks pot in pot is a lovely toasted color, that’s not going to happen in real life if you follow the recipe as written. 3. As someone who is pretty proficient with the IP, I feel like these recipes (unnecessarily) break some pretty basic IP rules - like not cooking dairy under pressure (a number of the recipes call for cream cheese or heavy cream on the front end, when they are likely to curdle... and could just as easily be added at the end). I really wanted to love this book, but the bottom line is that I’m underwhelmed by the recipes and irritated by the errors.
