I purchased two Solvit Pet Booster Seats six years ago for my two twelve pound Maltese. The seats have been FANTASTIC. The dimensions were perfect at 18x14x10 inches. The structure was sound providing a very safe environment for our dogs. The fabrication was attractive and sturdy. The body was an attractive faux leather and a soft and comfortable half-inch faux sherpa. After six years of dependable service, one of the seats became damaged and needed to be replaced. With full confidence in the product, I ordered a Solvit replacement. This replacement is being returned. The stated dimensions are 16x13x8 inches. NOT SO.... the actual dimensions are 15.5x12.5x8 inches. Yes 8 inches deep and it is totally unsafe !! The fabrication has totally changed also. Cheap light weight fabric exterior with 1/16 inch so-called fleece liner that slides around as the car moves. Also no clasp is present to allow easier placement of the booster over the car headrest. I am disappointed in the product and the apparent lack of quality control by the Solvit company. Shame on you!
