I bought this, because of the warranty and I thought it would last longer than the el-cheapo versions at Home Depot/Lowes. I have to admit it worked much better than the el-cheapo versions... but... E4 is all I get now ( 10 mo. later ). {FYI, this is the same code I got on the el-cheapo versions!} I called Aprilaire directly, and they say the warranty isn't valid because it wasn't 'professionally' installed. I guess one must pay $200+ to open a box and set the unit on the floor. I called the local 'ICQ specialist' and they won't look at it. They even canceled a scheduled appointment. So basically, you can roll the dice and see how long yours works, but I'm no better off than where I was with the el-cheapo versions.
