Why are there so many positive comments on this dehydrator? I bought it because of those comments but I was disappointed in so many ways. First, the cover lid doesn’t cover the trays tightly. It doesn’t even have any supports to stay in the right place. It falls off even with a slight touch. It is a really cheap design though the price is not. Second, the bottom tray doesn’t have supports to tightly fit the machine either. When I put the tray set on the machine I felt like it’s not the right accessory for the machine because it sits there without any supports. Imagine, your pot’s lid needs a support to tightly fit its body, which is the metal part attached to the lid. You don’t see it here. Third, it takes forever to dehydrate fruits though I sliced my fruits in thin pieces. It is probably due to the unsealed and cheap design; and of course owing to their product’s low electricity consumption purposes. Because the cover lid and the bottom tray don’t do the job they are supposed to do, the heat is released unexpectedly. It’s why it takes 18-22 hours to dehydrate 1/4 inch kiwi slices. You don’t know this until you receive your order and look at the user manual included in your package. It’s not only a waste of time but also a frustrating kitchen tool. To sum up, if you care about your time and effort you would say NO to this cheap quality machine.
