I lowered my rating from 5 starts to 1 star. The monitor is good. Moving from 60Hz to 144Hz is actually an amazing experience. However, this monitor appears to have a known defect. In the middle of the screen there are times when a random vertical tear will appear. The tear is approximately 6 pixels wide. To accurately describe it, it seems as if someone removed a vertical strip 6 pixels wide from the middle of the screen and relocated it to the far right. It is extremely noticeable, and the only way for me to fix it is to repeatedly power off and power back on the monitor. Many others have reported the issue, and so far the only permanent solution I read was to return the monitor to Acer for them to patch it. Hopefully they sort out this issue in future revisions... but all for now, I wouldn't recommend it.
