This is the most frustrating piece of equipment. Just bought this and it worked great for a few weeks, then I got the "Battery Low" sign like so many other reviewers. You think "Ok, simple. Just replace the batteries". I put in new ones and the message won't go away. The machine does not come with an adapter so I removed the batteries and tried using an adapter that I had from another piece of equipment that fit it. The messages came on (so obviously it was getting some power thru the adapter) but it keeps telling me that I need to replace the batteries and it won't print anything more that four letters. I have wasted over an hour of my life and a foot of tape on this stupid thing. When I check the online trouble shooting advice from Brother they just mention the obvious....."Replace with new batteries". Duh! Ridiculous. What a waste! And also, like so many others have complained....it wastes a ton of tape even when it is working correctly which I would not even mind at this point. I just need this machine to work.
