The retailer from which I ordered this product has been great so far in terms of customer service, shipping speed and being accessible to resolve problems. However, they only process the orders; it turns out the manufacturer fulfills and ships the orders directly from their inventory. I hold the manufacturer responsible, not the retailer, as this was out of the retailer's control. The product itself looks like a wonderful idea and a very practical gift for someone who does a lot of landscaping/gardening, but quality control is obviously nonexistent. The product came double-boxed, with the outside box in pristine condition when it arrived. The inner box, however, looked like it had been hit by a truck a few times. When I opened the item to inspect the parts, I discovered several of them were dented and chipped beyond use. The assembly manual had been ripped in half. All of the hardware needed to put this thing together was missing. It is very clear by the condition of the outer box that this did not occur in transit; someone knowingly boxed up a damaged product and sent it to me. Completely unacceptable and irresponsible.
