7 inch mattress :(
I wrote them complaining that my mattress had not expanded the full 8 inches after about a week of waiting, and was told that as long as it's 7 inches it's acceptable and doesn't qualify for exchange just because of that. (Although I could still return and get a different product) Which tells me that there are a lot of mattresses only expanding that high if they can't even promise that a replacement would work.
Tuft & Needle, it's NEVER "acceptable" to overpromise and underdeliver, especially when there are hundreds of dollars involved. How is that legal? I feel cheated... My mattress is missing 1/8th of it's height, which when it's this thin already is a significant loss, especially for a heavier person, and means it'll flatten that much sooner in the coming years as well. If any company is going to sell a mattress that they expect could only expand 7 inches, they should list it as such, and not claim that it's okay if it doesn't meet the higher specified criteria they have advertised. The mattress itself is pretty comfortable though and provides good support so far. Just am annoyed at the false advertising...
Edited: I asked to return it after several weeks because it just was way too plush and thin and not providing enough support. They refunded in full without a return required but it was on me to figure out how to get rid of it. I ended up offering it up on facebook for free. Not worth the hassle of trying these guys.
