Humics/Humus are great for soils, soil chemistry, grass/plant cultivars, nutrient uptake, etc.. There are many benefits -- aeration, cation exchange capabilities (ability of the soils to hold nutrients for root exchange, not just leech away and waste money/time). I bought 'Simple's' product quickly without doing the unit math/value for my money. The quart is 8.81#'s for $22.77 for 12% Humic/Fulvic by weight (8% Humic, 4% Fulvic, 88% water). That's 8.81# x 0.12 = 1.06# of Humics for $22.77! I kicked myself for being taken without slowing down & thinking first. I got ahead of myself and paid $22.77 for 1 pound of Humics -- a pound is nothing, even for a 100 sq. ft. I quickly researched Amazon for better, better valued products and found The Andersons HumicDG (prime) -- 40# bag of quick dispersal granules with 70% humic acid by weight. That's 40# x 0.70 = 28 pounds of Humics for $64.88. That's $2.32 per pound. $2.32 vs $22.77 per pound. Fool me once Simple. . .
