Needs work
As a Psychologist, I like the idea of this device because it is based on solid research and evidence. Unfortunately, it is represented as a hi-tech, state-of-the-art device but does not, in my opinion, live up to what is expected, especially for the price.
Among the problems:
1. The app is buggy and does not add much functionality; no custom programming to meet individual needs
2. No controls on the actual device for sound, light and shock levels (must use the buggy app for this)
3. No ability to plug in and charge device while in the wrist band
As a stand alone device, the Pavlok currently does not accomplish anything more than I could on my own by pinching or poking myself. I believe in its potential effectiveness, but at $199, I don’t consider it a good investment. I purchased mine on Amazon but retuned it for a full refund.
