This is the newest release of the Circle device. Our family has happily been using two of the original Circle devices for a couple of years now. Overall, our experience with the first gen device has been outstanding. It works and it works well. However, its limited to 100Mbps, so I was excited when they released this, newer version, which has a 1Gbps NIC. At least...I was excited until I realized they took all the best features of the first gen Circle and stuck them behind a $10/month pay wall. Yes, that's right -- all those wonderful features like setting bed times or limits on your kids screen time are now stuck behind a $10/month pay wall. And that sucks. I'll stick with my first-gen Circle for another few years.
