I purchased the original unit (ZeroWater ZP-010 10-Cup Pitcher) on December 10, 2012. Since then I have gone through numerous replacement units and I have had the same result every single time. The activated carbon granules keep leaking into the top receptacle along with other granules and the water just stink and tastes rancid. This happens variably within few weeks of replacing the filter so I think I'm done with this unit.. Switching back to Brita.
