After 4 months I changed my mind and gave it a 2
First of all every cooking surface will stick at some point. It all depends on what you are cooking and how high you have the cooking setting. Most surfaces need some type of lubricant (cooking spray or oil etc.) so thinks don't stick.
The other thing is after time and some high heat even stainless steal and nonstick surfaces will change color. Also since every grill is slightly tipped toward the drain hole, so being unhappy with eggs etc. sliding in that direction should be expected.
So after making those statements, this is what I found.
The Titanium surface is as slick as ice. Eggs, potatoes, hash, hamburgers etc. are a bit hard to pick up with a spatula, because they slide across the surface when you try to pick them up. For example you need to scoop the eggs up fast, or use some thing to hold them in place when you scoop them up with the spatula. I use another spatula to keep them from sliding across the surface.
I have had some meat (as an example breakfast ham slices) leave some material stuck to the surface. Having sad that, a little soap and water and bingo, the surface is clean again.
The drip tray is a bit small as other have stated. I cooked one pound of bacon and filled the tray to the top, with a little spilling over. The other thing was the cooking tempter. I used a Fluke infra red heat reader and found the following as I scanned the entire surface. I read it more than once and after it cooled off before the next test. So each test was started with a cold surface and after the temperature light went off.
At: 200% it read from 239-320, at 250% it read from 243-319 at 300% it read from 309-350, at 350% it read from 354-472 & at 400% it read from 374-465. All the surface didn't read at the same temperature at the same time. The reading is the lowest reading and the highest.
I have had other griddles and bought this as a replacement for the last non stick one that had the nonstick start coming off.
So why did I rate it as a five? Well it works as well as the others, it is most easily the easiest to clean and for the most part doesn't stick. As for the rest, nothing is perfect and I will just adjust to it.
Now for your information I am a 73 year old male and have had to learn cooking allover again. My wife just had a hip replacement, so I'm "Dolly Domestic" for the next few months. And as another item, yes I'm going to order the fry pan next. I do a lot of stir-fry's and use an electric skillet. I think the titanium will work wonders.
After 4 months my wife now hates it as do I. Things stick and it no longer cleans as well as it did. I finally found a turner that works, but the surface is now showing burned in oil like the underside of other griddles. The heating is still weird so I'm going to give it away and by a Presto that this one replaced.
