★☆☆☆☆
All I needed to read was the preface.
In the preface to the second edition the author states that he has “not had time to organize, rewrite, and complete the contents of this book.” ….. He further bemoans that the United States Attorney has confiscated his writings and passed ownership of them to his “victims”. I wonder why Mr. Kacynski hasn’t had time? I would suspect that he has plenty of free time, being in federal prison and all. And as far as him putting “victims” in quotes, I wonder why he would not consider people who have lost fingers or hearing or have been severely burned by his bombs as victims. Maybe AMAZON should add the title by which Kacynski is better is known by - UNABOMBER. That being said, I hope that profits from his sales do go to his victims, and that readers inform themselves on the author and consider the source. Update two years later: I am compelled to add to my review. As I stated in the header above, all I need to read is the preface, which in fact was what I had done. Recently I delved into the text of the document. While I still stand by my above opinion, I also feel that the author has a number of valid points, some of which have become more apparent over the last two years.
