My 12v laptop charger wasn't charging my laptop, and I noticed that this adapter wasn't glowing blue anymore. So, I jiggled it in the socket to get it working. However, this time it was very loose in there. I took it out and tried it in an outlet I know was working for a different thing I plugged in, and this adapter still didn't light up. So, I decided to check the fuse. I unscrewed the top and tried to remove the fuse, but it wouldn't come out. Eventually I decided to pop off the Led cover, and pop the sides apart to see what was going on. When I went to Mac Gillis this unit to get it to work, I noticed that the fuse was melted into place, the clip that holds the plug into the socket has melted, and the spring was also melted into place. In other words, the place where the fuse meets the spring was very hot at once point and caused the plastic to melt. The fuse never blew (see pictures), and that could have caught my car on fire. This is a serious danger, and I'm shocked that it has so many 5 star reviews when it's this dangerous.
